Telehealth Counseling for Miami, Florida
Getting to a therapist’s office in Miami can cost you an entire evening. A six-mile drive from Brickell to Coral Gables at 6 p.m., the Palmetto backed up in both directions, parking that costs more than lunch — and that’s before you find a practice taking new clients. Total Family Solutions serves Miami-Dade through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth: a licensed Florida therapist, on video, from wherever you already are — Kendall, Doral, Hialeah, Aventura, Coconut Grove, Homestead, or Miami Beach.
We’ve cared for Florida families for more than twenty years with a short-term, solution-focused approach. Therapy here has a destination: we set concrete goals with you — steadier sleep, fewer panic episodes, a marriage that isn’t running on fumes, a teenager who will talk to you again — and work toward them deliberately.
Therapy That Fits a Miami Schedule
- Evening appointments until 8 p.m. weekdays — log on after the commute home instead of adding another trip across the county.
- Scheduling that moves with your work. Hospitality, healthcare, port and airport shifts rarely repeat week to week. We adjust with them rather than holding you to one fixed slot.
- Care for the whole household — children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families are all seen through our practice, so support stays coordinated under one roof.
- First responder counseling for Miami-Dade law enforcement, fire rescue, and EMS personnel, from clinicians who understand what the job asks of you and your family.
Common Reasons Miami Clients Reach Out
Anxiety & Financial Pressure
Rent and insurance costs have climbed faster than paychecks across South Florida, and that strain shows up as sleeplessness, irritability, and a constant low-grade dread. We work on the anxiety itself and on the daily habits keeping it lit.
Couples & Family Strain
Long hours and opposite schedules wear on a relationship. Telehealth lets both partners join from wherever they are — even from two different places across the metro — so a session doesn’t depend on one shared commute.
Kids & Teens
School pressure, social media, and family transitions can leave a child anxious or shut down. Many young clients open up faster on video from their own room than across a desk from a stranger. How our outpatient care works →
Miami Counseling FAQs
Do you have a physical office in Miami?
No. We serve Miami-Dade entirely through telehealth, which is what lets us offer evening availability without asking you to cross the county at rush hour. Our office is in Ocala, and our clinicians are licensed to treat clients anywhere in Florida.
Is telehealth as effective as in-person therapy?
For most of what we treat — anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions — research consistently finds video sessions produce results comparable to meeting in person. You need a phone, tablet, or computer and somewhere private for the hour.
How soon can I be seen?
Usually far sooner than the waitlists many South Florida practices are quoting. Because our therapists work across the state by telehealth, we are not limited to whoever happens to have an opening in your ZIP code. Call and we’ll tell you honestly what this week looks like.
Will my insurance cover online sessions?
We accept select private insurance and are a Medicaid-approved provider in Florida; telehealth is covered the same as office visits under most plans. Check our insurance page or call and we’ll verify your benefits with you.
